Match report Captain Joe Clare, led from the front as Calne had a thumping win over Devizes in the county cup. Opening the bowling, Joe bowled with great pace to return figures of 4-3-2-1, backed up by Joe Williamson 4-0-4-3 and spinner George Nott 4-0-11-2. Devizes struggling to 48 for 7 after the allotted 20 overs.
Calne started off well in reply, joe and Jake Pluckrose reaching 35 for 1 after 7 overs, until Jake was unfortunately bowled off his pads.Robin Batson came to the crease,he and Joe (27n.o) saw us home in the 10th over.
This was a great performance from the lads, we are making good progress this year, keep up the good work fella's.
