Match report Fielding an inexperienced team Calne came up against a strong Marshfield side. Marshfield won the toss an elected to bat first and rattled up an impressive 355 for 5 in their 35 overs including outstanding individual performances from Felix Weston (157) and Hywel Jones (125). With the ball flying to all parts of the ground the young Calne team could have let their heads drop but to their great credit they never gave up and chased every ball down right to the end. Faced with the improbable task of scoring 356 to win Calne elected to play for a draw and stubbornly batted out their 35 overs for the loss of only 3 wickets, reaching a respectable 151 runs along the way. The Calne resistance was lead by Tom Hatton (36), Toby Scrven (31) and Craig Jordan (36no).
