Match report Steeple Langford won the toss, and on a cold Summers morning elected to field. Calnes opening batters (S Liles and B Pearce) showed a positive intent right from the start, and runs started flowing steadily. A great 50 plus opening partnership set up Calnes innings, Sam Liles particularly striking the ball well. Ben Smith hit a quick 10, and with Sam eventually going for an excellent 44, the Calne innings closed on 103 off their 20 overs. Steeple Langford opener, I Thorne, was run out by a good piece of fielding from Liam Foley, and they started losing wickets at regular intervals. 3 run outs didn't help their cause, and with some good bowling by all the Calne players, backed up by some good fielding, Calne restricted the opposition to 69 runs. Calne winning their first game of the season by 34 runs.
