Match report After marlborough had won the toss they elected to let us have a bat, we lost the wicket of tom richards very early on in the innings & then lost chris lower soon after .
This brought Luke Simpkins to the crease who batted well with jordan butler & these two put on a big partnership before luke fell for a well earned 7 runs .
After another 3 very quick wickets to fall, Mack Ellis came to the crease to form a match winning partnership with jordan butler,these two put on over 60 runs before jordan fell for a well earned 88 which included 3 very big 6`s.
The innings then ended 129 all out.Fine bowling from Harrison Painter taking 6 of calne`s wickets.
Marlborouh`s innings started with promise but was promptly stopped with a fine spell of fast bowling form Ben Wickens & Jordan Butler,Ben finishing with figure`s of 5 overs 2 maidens 8 runs 1 wkt & jordan 5-2-7-3.
The good bowling spell of the two openers was backed up by Mack Ellis,Chris Lower,George Nott & luke simpkins with George & Luke both taking 2 wickets.
A good 22 from C.Gordon was the highlight of the marlborough`s innings.
A good fielding display from both sides & was played in a great spirit & both sides will take alot of positive`s from this game .
