Match report Well, to continue the standard set by Dan this season, here is my attempt at a match report. Btw, this will not become the standard for Wednesdays!!

And in keeping up the standard set by Dan, I also lost the toss, despite Mapper's words of encouragement before the game. So we were put into bat on a very wet wicket.

Despite the conditions, the top order managed a steady start, overseen by Jim Sutton (24) with Adam Woods (17), Tom Clare (18) and Andy Windsor (26) taking us to 93-6. With the backing of the travelling fans from the called off second team match, the remaining 'batsmen' all chipped in, eventually finishing on a defendable 129 all out from 43.5 overs.

Refuelled by an excellent tea, the familiar U15 opening partnership of Elliot Bodman (5-3-6-2) and Cameron Axford got us off to a great start. After bowling their allowed first spell, I decided my ball, my game and brought myself and Andy Windsor on to bowl creating one of the tallest bowling attacks calne has seen!! Despite this, Beanacre 3rds pushed on to 67-4 from 25 overs, before pick of the bowlers Jim Sutton (9.1-2-15-5) came on to finish the game off in the final over and complete his 5 wicket haul.

Close game on a tough wicket, a 15 run win and 20 points in the bag. Great effort by everyone that played.
