Match report Although the result looks like an easy victory for Purton (9 wickets), the truth was far from that. With only 1 over left, and with Calne sharing the bowling around (10 bowlers) as opposed to Purton who only bowled 6 of their players, this was a very even contest. Ben Smith and Oliver Godwin batted excellently for Calne, Ben getting his first 50 (retired). Purton openers Flay and Clarke gave them a much needed good start, and they just managed to get over the line. The difference between the 2 sides probably being Calne gave away 31 extras as opposed to Purtons 21.
