Match report Biddestone won the toss and elected to bat. An early wicket from George Batson gave the Calne team a lift, but a confident and quickfire innings from Will Pritchett looked set to give Biddestone a big total. However, a great catch from Beth Pearce to remove the dangerous Pritchett, off Daniel Foleys bowling, changed the complexion of the game. Biddestone continued to compile runs, but at nowhere near the initial pace. They did close their innings on a highly respectable 155 - 8 wickets. Harry Bell bowled a miserly spell of 4 overs, 1 wicket for 2 runs. George Batson took 3 - 27 off 7 overs, but it was the Calne fielding which really shone through and restricted the Biddestone team. Some excellent catching and ground fielding capped a good all round display by the Calne fielders.

Calnes response was positive with George Batson and Ben Smith scoring well. some great shots through the covers from bath batsman really set the tone for the Calne response. George was out caught, hitting a short ball straight to midwicket. Patrick Campbell joined Ben, and with both batsman scoring freely, the game looked to be heading calne's way. Patrick was unlucky to play on to a ball that kept low, and with the Biddestone team also fielding well, they were making the Calne team work for their runs. With the score on 110 for 2 and with 10 overs left, it looked poised8for a tight finish, but when Ben was out caught and bowled for an excellent 54, none of the other Calne batsman were able to score at the required rate. the match ended in a winning draw for Biidestone with both teams able to take a lot of positives from the game.
