Match report Calne lost the toss and were put into bat. With 5 regular players missing, and this being the first 'proper' cricket game that a number of the Calne players had participated in, they did admirably to get to 77 - 5 at the end of the 20 overs. Thanks mainly to Alex Bates' 36 Not Out,and a glut of wides from the Biddestone attack, the Calne team sensed a possible victory. Rob Horn was the tightest Biddestone bowler taking 3 - 10 off his 3 overs. However despite an excellent spell of bowling from Aaron Batson who took 3 - 26, the Biddestone team batted in strength, and with solid performances from A. Jaques,19, and H Beazer,18, Biddestone got home by 4 wickets in the 14th over. Molly Coleman and Finley Burton took their first wickets in league cricket. well done to all the players who competed really well.
